Leslie Levin Nilsson
Founder & Creative Director
Leslie grew up obsessed with good food, earned her M.A. in literature, and left a career as an English professor and Glamour editor to start the Sage brands in 1997.
From Sage American Kitchen and Café St. Bart’s/Sage Events to Sage General Store (the first NYC restaurant to be featured on The Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives”) to Bartleby & Sage, Leslie has spent nearly three decades building catering operations at museums, non-profits, religious institutions, and cultural venues.

Ramon Lara
Executive Chef
A Culinary Institute of Miami graduate with 25+ years of experience, including the Delano Hotel, Great Performances, and major events (the Grammys, award dinners for Oprah Winfrey and Barbara Walters, NYC mayors’ events), Chef Ramon has been creating incredibly delicious, authentic recipes for Sage since 2012.
Chef Ramon's attention to detail, in addition to managing a large kitchen staff, has kept the company growing in scope and creativity.

Rachael Livingston-Meko
COO & Senior Sales Director
Rachael oversees the sales and client relationships for our NYC team and manages the ZOHO CRM, tracking sales from first inquiry to final review post-event. Whether a conference for 300 or a Michelin-inspired dinner party for 20, Rachael manages all event details, large and small.
She was formerly the sales and corporate partnerships leader for Boomset (a tech company for corporate event planners), growing the startup 150% in less than two years. She has been with Bartleby & Sage since early 2018.

Hans Baang
Head Pastry Chef & Director of Food Development
A New England Culinary Institute graduate, Hans creates chic minimalist pastries, custom wedding cakes, and new savory items. His background spanning the Philippines and North America results in recipes that merge flavors of Asia and the Americas. He has been with Bartleby & Sage since 2014.
Cyef Hans' food blog, “The Sugar Hippie” , is dedicated to the art of food, flavors and design.

Stacey Cervellino
VP of Sales & Senior Event Planner
Stacey splits her time between NYC and our upstate venues, with a focus on building relationships and creating magnificent events.
Her background as a writer, director, educator, and producer brings a production mindset to her events across Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Hudson Valley.

Serge Kiselev
Chief of Staff
Whether a wedding for 150 or a three-day conference for 1,000, Serge staffs each event with professional, personable captains, waiters, and bartenders who are recruited and trained to Bartleby & Sage standards: attentive service with an eye to detail, a friendly and “how can I help” attitude, and a love of great food and hospitality. He has been with the company since 2010.

Monica Wolyniec
Director of Marketing
With nearly two decades in marketing and hospitality - including event-tech unicorn, Hopin - Monica keeps campaigns, partnerships, and internal teams aligned and moving.
Alongside Leslie, she identifies new markets, opportunities and trends to keep Bartleby & Sage top of mind and top of page when potential clients are looking for a caterer or venue.

Angelina Landress
Social Media Director
Angelina is the creative eye behind Bartleby & Sage's online presence, capturing the essence of what we do and turning it into content that actually stops the scroll. She has an instinct for what resonates in storytelling and makes sure our work speaks for itself.

Emma Sottardi
Web Developer & SEO Specialist
A multidisciplinary designer and developer certified in Design Thinking, UX Design, and Webflow. With decades of experience ranging from global corporations to scrappy startups, she ensures our website remains polished and our search rankings stay competitive.

JosĂ© MartĂnez
Production Manager
With 25+ years in hospitality and events, managing operations between NYC and Texas for top-rated kitchens, José has produced events as large as 12,000+ guests.
José also manages our fleet of vehicles and staffs all of our scullery team at events.

A New York–based hospitality professional, Uliana has 5+ years of experience creating memorable moments for clients through thoughtful problem-solving and meticulous attention to detail.
Uliana builds lasting trust with teams, vendors, and clients alike, turning every interaction into a delighted, repeat customer.

Senior Captain, Catering & Events
A long-time member of our service team since 2010, with outstanding dedication to our catering operations as service staff manager.
Fabian has managed food service operations for Deloitte and Bloomberg, among many others.
